Soft washing is the best way to remove organic growth like mold, algae, pollen and other contaminants from exterior surfaces. Living in South Louisiana our humid climate is perfect for mold and algae. Soft washing should be an essential step in every property owner's maintenance.
A house wash (house washing) and a soft wash (soft washing) are commonly interchangeable phrases that both describe the same cleaning process.
A house wash when done correctly falls within the cleaning guidelines set by all building materials manufacturers related to pressure washing. Some products like asphault shingles have it written on there label..sodium hypochlorite has been used for over 30 years.
Soft washing is a two step process. First apply the chemical/mixture to the surfaces being cleaned (careful to avoid overspray). Second, after having waited 1-15 min rinse the surface clean with water. Some areas and sections may take multiple attempts to completely clean.
